If you watch the text box you will see The Hall of Heroes referenced all the time.

So what the heck is it any way

From wiki The Hall of Heroes

The Hall of Heroes is the final map in the Heroes’ Ascent ladder. It is possible to skip from other maps, but most players access it through The Vault or The Antechamber.
In the Hall of Heroes up to 2-3 teams compete for the glory of winning the global tournament.

Heroes’ Ascent

Heroes’ Ascent, also known as HA or Tombs, is a continuous global tournament between teams of 8 players from all over the world. Teams compete in several arenas in sequence before finally meeting in the Hall of Heroes, where they may win valuable loot.

Every victory in the Heroes’ Ascent (except the Elite Zaishen Battle) awards Fame to the victorious team, which progresses their Hero Title Track.

Heroes’ Ascent is also sometimes known as “Tombs” or “Tombing”. This refers to the original location of the tournament, which was the Tomb of the Primeval Kings, prior to the update which implemented Heroes’ Ascent.

That is one of the most asked question I get in Guild Wars
What does the color mean?

From Wiki
Item rarity link

Most items available in Guild Wars use colors to indicate the quality or rarity of the item. The actual meaning depends on the item (details provided below). As a general guide, white indicates that the item is very common and without modifiers, blue indicates that it has some minor modifiers, purple that it is an uncommon item which may have adequate modifiers, gold that the item’s modifiers are of high quality and/or rare, and green is used to identify a unique item.

Note, for example, that an item in gold is not necessarily superior to an item in purple. The actual value depends on specific attributes of the item and the current in-game trading environment.

The key piece of info is:
that an item in gold is not necessarily superior to an item in purple.
The actual value depends on specific attributes of the item and the current in-game trading environment.

So a gold item is not better or more valuable then a purple item.
It just depends on what the mods are!

Jan 102010

The Canthan New Year is the next event coming up, sometime the end of next month Feb.
It shoud be at the end of Jan

The full event takes place in Shing Jea Boardwalk.
But you can take part in Lions Arch and Kamadan.

Why should you want to take part?
This is the best time to work on your Luck Titles playing the game of Nine Rings
The lucky title is what will help you open high-end chests with lock picks.

This is another mistake a Guild Wars Newbie makes…
NOT doing the bonus while do the mission the first time.

I was in Asclion the the other day helping a new player.
He asked me to help them with the first mission Defend The North Wall
Now I have done this mission…316 times to date, so I know a bit about it!
So I started out doing the bonus…

They piped up and said “I don’t want the bonus…I will come back later and get them later.”

Now the bonus in Defend The North Wall is what an extra 3 min!
And whats going to happen when they get to the Maguuma Jungle missions when the bonus is not till the end of the mission

The will have to run the whole mission all over again.
Having to learn it all over again…find a party to run it.
That just does not make sense to me.
Just do it once and be done with it.
