This is another mistake a Guild Wars Newbie makes…
NOT doing the bonus while do the mission the first time.
I was in Asclion the the other day helping a new player.
He asked me to help them with the first mission Defend The North Wall
Now I have done this mission…316 times to date, so I know a bit about it!
So I started out doing the bonus…
They piped up and said “I don’t want the bonus…I will come back later and get them later.”
Now the bonus in Defend The North Wall is what an extra 3 min!
And whats going to happen when they get to the Maguuma Jungle missions when the bonus is not till the end of the mission
The will have to run the whole mission all over again.
Having to learn it all over again…find a party to run it.
That just does not make sense to me.
Just do it once and be done with it.
This is probably the biggest mistake that a Guild Wars Newbie makes…
leaving Pre Searing to soon..
How many times have you seen some level 3 toon in asclion?
There are many reasons to say in Pre Searing till level 6 or better
Just unlocking the skills is enough to stay.
These are skills that are needed to survive in Post Searing.
Leveling…a low level just can’t make it in Post.
I see this one mistake a lot Guild Wars Newbie (weapons)
A Ranger / Necro will be using a axe and not a bow for his primary weapon.
CUZ it does more damage…..
When I try to explain that weapons have a REQ that needs to met…
I get that Yea right what ever
From wiki
If the requirement is not met:
* Weapon damage is reduced to that of a starter weapon with a slight bonus to damage depending on the related attribute as described in damage calculation.
* Shield armor rating is reduced to 8 (although armor granting upgrade components are unaffected) if the shield was either: any randomly generated drop (8-16 base armor), or if it’s a 16 armor shield that’s not randomly generated (for example, it is a collector shield, unique, or PvP Equipment). You’ll gain only 5 armor if that shield was not a randomly generated drop and was below 16 base armor rating.
* The base energy bonus from focus items is reduced to +6 (or +3 for some items).
