The 2009 Halloween Event is fast approaching.
This one of the 5 major events in Guild Wars.
You will need to get to Lion’s Arch {for Prophecies toons} to take part in the events.
Here is a wiki link for last years event
NOW is the time to start building your bank roll and farming for the items Collectors want.
Items
Prophecies
3 Decayed Orr Emblems
2 Glowing Hearts
1 Feathered Caromi Scalp
3 Charr Carvings
2 Ornate Grawl Necklace
2 Maguuma Manes
1 White Mantle Emblem
Lets have some FUN with this!
Are green Items worth the price?
For the most part they are not worth the ridiculous prices asked .
For example I saw a Silverwing Recurve Bow for 100K.
Since all weapons do the same damage what you are paying for is the unique skin
We are talking about a weapon that does 15-28 base damage not some 100K super killing bow.
I don’t know about you but I rarely notice unique skins on weapons.
And I have had very few people notice my Totem Axe
And the crazy thing is it is possible to create an exact technical replica, except for the visual appearance of almost every rare drop in the game.
Now if you are a power farmer and can make 20K+ an hours then go for it.
Are you a fan of Guild Wars?
If you are then you NEED this little APP
Mapping out has been out for a VERY LONG TIME since Jan 17, 2007
A posting about it
MappingOut v.4.0.0
You can download it here
Very good software
Special Features
- MappingOut doesn’t need Guild Wars to be launched to be run
- Your account settings are of no interest to MappingOut
- Mapping is completely free
- Low memory usage (about 15mb), allowing MappingOut to run alongside Guild Wars on low specification pc’s without a problem
- MappingOut can check for updates on selected servers, and auto update itself
- Mappingout now tracks Elite Skills, Collectors, Green Items, Elona Treasures and Personal Notes
- Color co-ordinate tabs, which correspond to the items on the map
- An “Always on Top” feature
- 3 different styles for pop up windows for Elite Skills, Collectors, Green “unique” Items, Elona Treasures and Personal Notes
- Detailed legend showing all the Elite Skill colors and all other information shown on the maps.
- Quick Map selection using the Right Click on a free part of the map, and jump to a new map
I found a different site to d/l it from
Purple-Pixels
As you progress thought the game you will want to travel to the other games.
You may want to do this to unlock Hero’s, gain new skills or to just play the game.
This morning i ran in to a very lost player in GWEN.
She was from Nightfall and was wanting a runner to Prophecies from GWEN.
I tried to tell her that he had to UNLOCK the Prophecies game (do a quest) and she had to do it from Nightfall.
Needless to say she though I was a compete fool.
So if you are wanting to travel to your other games make sure you have the correct campaign activated on your account.
Look here for the QUESTS to unlock your games
A pet peeve is a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to them, to a greater degree than others may find it
I hang out in Asclion City a lot helping the new players with question and going on quests with them.
More often then not I am shocked at the rudeness of the players.
It goes like this
I ask “Anyone need help with a quest”
“I do” some player
I add them to the party..
then next thing I know we out out the gate…
Not a “Hi: or “Thank you” not even “Are you ready?”
Just out the gate and before I get there they have already ran off the map.
And then they get mad cuz they die…
